![]() ![]() ![]() Overall, I didn’t expect to like this book at all. This book was very tame compared to others I have read. I have discovered recently that I have a vastly different meter for sex in books than most people. This book is marketed as being very sexually explicit, but there are only about five scenes, and you can probably skim over them. I thought it was a good foreshadowing of her future role in the Underworld. Also, I liked that this version of Persephone killed the plants she touched. I liked how the gods were still gods, which made them like celebrities with their businesses. No interaction with gods especially Hades. ![]() Persephone agrees to go since it’s Alexa’s birthday, even though it violates her mother’s number one rule. Lexa managed to snag two spots in Hades’ exclusive nightclub Nevernight. ![]() Persephone is pretty optimistic about her future until she gets a call from her best friend Lexa. Persephone is a senior journalism student who convinced her overbearing mother, Demeter, the goddess of spring to let her take an internship at the New Athens News. A Touch of Darkness is a modern version of the Hades and Persephone myth. ![]()
